On 6 September, GHE joined the British Board of Agrément (BBA) at the House of Lords to celebrate the organisation’s 50th Anniversary.
Since its launch in 1966, the BBA has developed rigorous testing, inspection and certification services to support manufacturers and installers achieve excellence and provide reassurance throughout the construction and building industry.
Well known for our commitment to quality, GHE was the only installation company on the prestigious guest list alongside representatives from across industry sectors including Tarmac, Knaff, Visqueen, Newton and the Federation of Master Builders.
The event was hosted by Lord Prescott, who delivered a keynote on the challenges of tackling climate change. He shared his experience of international climate talks including the Kyoto agreement and the importance of 2015 Paris Climate Summit; emphasizing the need for energy-saving in both the new build and retrofit sectors.
As a small family-run business working hard towards sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint – from house design and build to every day life – we were delighted to have our entire team in attendance and were proud and inspired to be amongst those in our industry committed to the fight against climate change.
